about nsslha
WHAT WE DO:
As members of MSU NSSLHA, students have the opportunity to network with other students
who have similar interests, meet professionals working in the field, and participate in a variety of
activities. Michigan State NSSLHA chapter members are involved in various educational
seminars, community service, and fundraising activities. We support and volunteer at local
schools, hospitals and retirement homes.
WHEN WE MEET:
We will be holding general meetings once every month (typically the second Tuesday of every month) and they are open to any MSU student interested in communicative sciences and disorders (CSD). See the main page for meeting dates and times.
HOW TO JOIN:
Just attend the meetings! You are welcome and encouraged to attend as many of the meetings and events as possible. To become an active member of NSSLHA you will have to pay dues and also receive a certain amount of points, as designated by the executive board (see the Points & Meeting Minutes page). Dues include a pocket tshirt. If you are unable to get all of the points you are still welcome to attend meetings and events.
GOALS FOR 2022-2023:
1. We hope to provide members with more volunteering opportunities
2. We hope that we can maintain our member's involvement
3. We hope to have more social events because heavy amount of online classes
4. We hope to improve communication between the board and the members
5. We hope that we can recruit more students to become a part of NSSLHA
6. We hope to be more organized with updating points, meetings, etc.
